We’re all about DIY-ing when it comes to our beauty products, because it means we can control what we’re putting on
our skin (be gone gross chemicals!). And this time, we’re making our very own
lip scrubs. If you have dry or
peeling lips, you’ll love this. Plus the market price for lip scrub is around RM 91 (OMG it’s
too expensive!)
Let’s face it we all want soft kiss-able lick-able
lips! For the girls I know how annoying it is to put lipstick
on flakey dry lips, it’s horrible! Fret not, this lip scrub ensure that your
lips be lipstick ready. I also know for a fact that only applying
chapstick over and over is not going to take care of having chapped lips.
Especially being in Malaysia where the weather is quite hot, we have to nurture
our skin, hair and even lips!
Here’s how to do a homemade lip scrub by just using simple ingredients
in your kitchen.
Ingredients:
1 TSP of White Granulated Sugar
1 TSP of Honey
½ TSP of Olive Oil
Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl.
To Use:
Apply the mixture directly on the lips and massage it for about 20
seconds or so. Lastly, rinse the mixture with warm water.
You will instantly feel your lips super smooth and soft. Make sure to apply the lip scrub at least once a week to maintain those commercial worthy pouts.
- White Granulated Sugar : Acts as a Exfoliator
- Honey : Natural Healing Properties (Antiseptic)
- Olive Oil : Provides Nourishment/Moisturizing
This DIY recipe is a genius idea to try as all the ingredients are
already in your kitchen cupboard. Guys and girls who have very sensitive lip
ought to give it a try because all the ingredients are natural therefore it is
unlikely to have any side effects. As we all know, Mother Nature is always the
way to go. Moreover, it is inexpensive and when compared with other lip scrubs
in the market, the results are similar. Whipping up a batch of this for your
girlfriends during sleepovers is also fun idea.
So there you have it! It is an incredibly fast and easy beauty remedy for
you to try. Enjoy!
